The fever panel test is valuable in identifying the specific cause of fever, especially in cases where the cause is unclear or multiple causes are suspected. By identifying the underlying infection or condition, healthcare providers can prescribe appropriate treatment and manage the fever effectively.
It enables targeted therapy, reduces unnecessary antibiotic use, and helps prevent complications associated with untreated or misdiagnosed febrile illnesses. It is important to consult with a healthcare professional who can determine the need for a fever panel test based on your symptoms, medical history, and the prevalence of specific infections in your region.

The Fever Panel test is a comprehensive diagnostic tool designed to detect and identify various infectious diseases commonly associated with fever. It includes a combination of laboratory tests that can help healthcare professionals determine the cause of the fever and guide appropriate treatment decisions. The panel consists of the following tests:

Dengue IgG/IgM, NS1: This test detects the presence of antibodies (IgG and IgM) specific to the dengue virus, as well as the NS1 antigen, which is an early marker of dengue infection.

Malaria: The malaria test is used to identify the presence of the malaria parasite in the blood. It helps differentiate between different species of malaria parasites and assists in determining the appropriate treatment.

Typhoid IgG/IgM: This test detects antibodies (IgG and IgM) produced in response to Salmonella typhi, the bacterium responsible for causing typhoid fever. It aids in diagnosing and monitoring the infection.

Scrub Typhus: The scrub typhus test is used to detect antibodies against Orientia tsutsugamushi, the bacterium that causes

scrub typhus. It helps diagnose and confirm the presence of this bacterial infection.

Brucella: This test detects antibodies produced against Brucella bacteria, which cause brucellosis. It aids in the diagnosis and monitoring of this bacterial infection.

Leptospira: The leptospira test is used to detect antibodies against Leptospira bacteria, which cause leptospirosis. It helps confirm the presence of this bacterial infection.

Kala azar: This test is specifically designed to detect antibodies against the Leishmania donovani parasite, which causes visceral leishmaniasis, also known as kala azar. It assists in the diagnosis and management of this parasitic infection.

By performing the Fever Panel test, healthcare providers can assess a wide range of potential infectious causes of fever, enabling timely and accurate diagnosis. The results of this panel test can guide appropriate treatment strategies, improve patient outcomes, and prevent the spread of these infectious diseases
